Here's something for your holiday shopping list, especially if you have kids to shop for (or if you agree with Engadget, someone else's kids to shop for).
The Utamin has 2 modes - one that plays back pre-programmed music, and another that acts more like a discrete pitch scale theremin.
On one hand, this kind of toy can introduce kids to space control concepts at an early age. On the other hand, it's pure novelty - at least until someone circuit bends it and hacks in CV output. What do you think? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
Now... I wonder what would happen if Siri played with a Utamin?
