Charlie Draper: Lucie Bigelow Rosen and "Intonation on the Theremin"

Lucie Bigelow Rosen

Lucie Bigelow Rosen was a key benefactor to Leon Theremin in the United States and was an avid promoter and performer on the instrument.  Her dedication to Theremin's work continued long after his return to the Soviet Union.

Recently, UK Thereminist Charlie Draper turned up an editorial Rosen wrote to the New York Times in 1934 in which she defends the instrument and another performer's poorly reviewed concert.  Who was it?  Read his excellent article to find out!

Thanks. For this historical perspective. And Charlie, for his tormented approach to the theremin. For the fact that he is so careful about the visual design of his musical performances. Nice presentation, that's great.
