We are very pleased to announce that Leipzig's first Theremin Spring Academy will start today. Everything has been prepared and we have a tight schedule, including old friends and new students for both Thierry Frenkel and Carolina Eyck. The first concert will be tonight at Liveclub Telegraph with Carolina Eyck Quartett, followed by an Open Stage for all thereminists.
The workshops on Saturday will be streamed live over the internet. You can watch Thierry Frenkel explain in depth how the theremin works at 3pm. At 4.30pm Carolina will give a workshop on basic playing techniques, suitable for absolute beginners as well. At the end of both shows there will be time to answer some questions from the included Live Chat.
