Today we remember Leon Theremin.
What started out as a simple science experiment opened doors for Theremin to travel the world and spend a decade in New York. It also brought the attention of the Soviet state which resulted in years of indentured service and further inventions in technology for spying. Ultimately, it inspired electronic musical instruments and brought us together from all around the world to support each other as we attempt to master the instrument we become one with but do not touch.
Leon Theremin died on November 3rd, 1993. He was 96. His legacy will live forever.
