Thorwald Jørgensen will perform Anis Fuleihan's Concerto for Theremin and Orchestra with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra on January 14th and 15th, 2016.
The concerto is an incredibly difficult piece of music and was first performed by Clara Rockmore in 1945 with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. A short clip of the performance was included in the documentary film Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey. A full recording of Clara Rockmore's original performance was posted to YouTube (audio only) in 2011.
