The idea for this composition came to Jørgensen when he was walking along his favorite beach in The Hague. While gazing at the horizon he was captured by the mystical view from the beautiful Dutch seaside, and started fantasizing about the scenery at the other side of the North Sea and beyond. This windy atmosphere comes alive when one listens to Distant Shores, a new and original composition for theremin, voice and loop station.
