A Theremin Academy focused on improvisation and experimental music

This years Autumn Theremin Academy from November 23rd to 25th, 2018 in Lippstadt/Germany focuses strongly (but not only) on improvisation and experimental Thereminizing.

With Wilco Botermans (NL) as a renowned and experienced Teacher, offering various workshops about using effects, composing for, and recording the Theremin, and "conducting" an experimental Theremin ensemble, we focus strongly on Thereminists who do not (want to) read sheet music!

The classic or academic Theremin teaching will not be neglected, though: Thierry Frenkel (FR) will be there, too, to show and teach everybody from beginners to advanced players the newest evolutions in efficient classical playing technique and to conduct another Theremin Ensemble which will work on Edward Elgar's "Lux Aeterna".

A concert by Shakuhachi master and Thereminist Dr Jim Franklin, followed by a convivial dinner for all participants, teachers and guests on Saturday night will be one big highlight of that weekend, while the traditional student's concert on Sunday afternoon will mark a festive final point.

More details and online registration are available on the Theremin Academy Website.
