Dutch thereminist and TW member Thorwald Jørgensen has been invited to play at the "Music and Beyond" Festival from July 4 to 15, 2012 in Ottawa, Canada.
He will perform with the Moscow String Quartet on July 11th. Unfortunately the festival's website has not been updated and the concert doesn't (yet) appear there.
It's the first time that he has been invited to play outside Europe which is an important milestone for him in his Theremin career.
For his custom made instrument a special flight case has been built recently in order to allow a risk free travel of the tube circuits by plane.

I am so glad you will be traveling with your Thierry Frenkel custom instrument. I had thought that perhaps you might have been forced to revert to your Etherwave for the concert because of the outrageous expense of extra baggage on most international flights these days.
